The Tiger’s Head had been a glaring omission from our Bromley reviews, so this had to be rectified. I booked a table for lunch for 4 people plus our baby JW (who’s 15 months old). The pub had recently been refurbished, and looked very good for it! It felt like a contemporary country dining venue, with light walls and exposed beams. The Sunday best lamb shoulder was very good, and the main roasts were reasonably priced. All in all, a recommended Sunday lunch at The Tiger’s Head in Chislehurst, Bromley.

We had visit another of Richard Phillips’s establishments, Pearson’s Arms in Whitstable. So, when I found out he has another in Hollingborne in Maidstone, we had to give it a shot. Sunday lunch here was superb, our roast very tasty (especially the potatoes). It was great that the kids roast was free, making the Sunday lunch really good value (3 courses for £19.95).
The Windmill is definitely one for families to visit for Sunday lunch. Top Rated!

Having visited all the venues within the Elite Pub Group, when I heard there was a new one open (called The Potting Shed), I knew it wouldn’t take long before we visited :-) I booked a table for the 3 of us on New Years Day. The venue was excellent, very airy with lots of large windows to let in the light, even on the dull, rainy day. The service was superb, I almost felt we were imposing on the staff – the waiter even cut up JW’s beef without being asked (we would have done it). Nothing seemed too much trouble. The food quality was excellent, I loved the mixed roast, and the creme brulee was good (although, couldn’t see any vanilla seeds). A Top Rated Sunday lunch!

Don’t let the outside of The Rose and Crown in Farnborough put you off, the venue inside was kept in good repair and nicely decorated. The facilities for children was excellent with clean changing areas and a large activity area in the garden. The huge Sunday lunch was good, especially the roast potatoes. A place to visit for families and people with large appetites!

I have been wanting to visit The White Hart in Brastead, part of Sevenoaks, Kent for a while now. After having lunch on a Saturday at their sister pub, The George in Hayes, we decided to visit them.
The venue itself was a perfect, contemporary country inn, with wooden beams, log burning fires and rustic carpet. The service was good, one or two mistakes but mostly rectified without an issue. The Sunday roast itself was excellent with great meat (I had lamb, Claire had chicken), interesting vegetable medley, good roast potatoes and nice gravy. A good selection of desserts, I had an upside-down sundae.
Overall, an excellent venue for a celebratory Sunday lunch.
