The Londsborough in Stoke Newington was recommended to Claire’s sister, Rona. She agreed to write a review on her findings… Have a look at the delicious roast beef as well as the mouth-watering desserts (especially the sticky toffee pudding!). The Phoenix, Denmark Hill
I have visited a number of times for beers over the years, so I was looking forward to reviewing the Sunday lunch at The Phoenix in Denmark Hill, London. The venue is part of Denmark Hill rail station, and they carry a train theme through the pub (with a large clock hanging from the ceiling). They have a great selection of craft beers available, as well as decent priced wine. The Sunday lunch was reasonably priced between £11.75 for Roast Chicken to £13.00 for Roast Beef. The roast was ok, I wasn’t keen on the vegetables, but the desserts were superb. they scored a respectable 3.5 out of 5.

Chiswell Street Dining Rooms in Islington, London is the sister pub to The Jugged Hare, almost right next door! (you can read the Sunday lunch review of The Jugged Hare here). We had a great time here, the Sunday lunch was superb. The meat was cooked properly, and a lot was provided. I loved the small dishes the various side dishes came in. The venue decor was nice and fresh and the service excellent!
A wholeheartedly Top Rated Sunday lunch in Islington.

As we had such a good time at The Crooked Well, I couldn’t wait to visit their sister venue – The Perryvale. It was a smart bistro in Forest Hill – the venue was light and airy, with lots of mirrors dotted around. The food was good, although a bit too rich for my liking. I did enjoy the roast beef, and also the treacle tart. A Sunday lunch best with friends or couples

We haven’t had a Sunday lunc in Central London for a while, so decided to book somewhere close to Charing Cross station, Sophie’s Steakhouse. We arrived at midday as we were unable to book a table. Roast beef was ordered by 3 of us, and we were all very happy with our choice. The food quality was excellent here, as was the service. The pricing was high for drinks, but the kids eat free proved that Sophies Steakhouse in Covent Garden is family friendly and highly recommended.
