The imperial Arms in Chislehurst is near the top of the very steep Old Hill. A newly opened pub, I wasn’t sure what to expect. All in all, they served a good Sunday lunch. We all enjoyed the Roast Beef, which was good quality and of sizeable quantity. i was a bit disappointed with the rest though. The vegetables and potatoes tasted good quality again, but there just wasn’t enough! The service was very friendly and I was pleased to be able to have a pint of lager with my pub Sunday lunch. Recommended.

The Bakery, Tatsfield
We all went out for a Father’s Day Sunday lunch at The Bakery in Tasfield, Westerham. A nice venue with friendly service. The cost for Sunday lunch was £22.95 for 3 courses. There were some fish options for the pescatarians in our group.
The non-roast food was good, Dad and Lesley especially enjoyed their dishes. Unfortunately though, the Sunday lunches were a bit of a let down, especially the vegetables. Come here for evening meals, or even on a Saturday but only an average Sunday lunch.

Having had our wedding here a couple of years ago, Claire and I were keen to give the Sunday lunch at Bickley Manor Hotel a go. And we were not disappointed, with excellent Silver Service at our table. The Sunday roast was excellent, with a good selection of vegetables, properly cooked meat and nice roast potatoes. A Top Rated Sunday lunch for celebrations, special occasions such as Christmas and birthdays or just when you want a great roast.

We visited Satis House when up in Suffolk for Sunday lunch, The venue was extremely impressive, a grand country house just off the A12. The service was impeccable, and the free table water a nice touch. Our roast beef came out to our liking as was well presented. I enjoyed the mix of vegetables and the gravy was good. The desserts were, once again, well presented and tasted great.
If this was £15.95 for the main course, I would have been happy. But, at £10.95, I am astounded. Satis House in Suffolk is definitely worth the visit for any occasion, including a casual lunch!

We were going to be popping out to Claire’s sister’s house one Sunday to see our nephews, so I wanted to find somewhere for lunch on the way back. Dartford was a good bet, and after a bit of investigation, we settled on The Malt Shovel. The Sunday lunch here was excellent, such a large quantity of food, the roast meats were nice, and cauliflower cheese a one off!
We definitely recommend going to The Malt Shovel in Dartford for a Sunday roast.
