Don’t let the outside of The Rose and Crown in Farnborough put you off, the venue inside was kept in good repair and nicely decorated. The facilities for children was excellent with clean changing areas and a large activity area in the garden. The huge Sunday lunch was good, especially the roast potatoes. A place to visit for families and people with large appetites!

Aqua Bar and Grill, Bromley
After eating a couple of other meals there, I felt it was time to give the Sunday roasts a go at Aqua Bar & Grill in Bromley. The food here is good and the service is friendly and profressional. I really appreciated the complimentry olives and bread (which I ended up having as my starter, whilst Claire enjoyed the duck salad). The roast beef was excellently cooked, as was the lamb. Roast potatoes were ok, not as crispy as I like, but the gravy was excellent.
Oh, and the Gourmet Society Card is accepted on the a la carte menu. Highly recommended!

We decided to try a local Sunday lunch and settled on The Tudor Kitchen in Sidcup (part of Bexley, Kent). Easy to book, just gave them a call and we were all set. We parked up in the local Morrisons and wandered down. The manger opened the door for us, and showed us to our seat. Claire ordered the beef bourguignon, I went for the roast beef. Presentation was good, as was the quality of the food. The chocolate brownie sundae was also enjoyable. Overall, a great place to go for Sunday lunch in Sidcup, Bexley – and The Gourmet Society Card is accepted.

We were looking for one last Sunday lunch in Kent for 2012 and settled on a roast at Chapter One, Farnborough in Bromley. Booking was easy through their website. The venue itself was nicely decorated and the chairs were very comfy. Claire had 3 courses, being the deep fried fish cake, the roast sirloin of beef and the pecan financier. I chose the chicken and ham terrine, roast beef and chocolate delice. The whole meal was excellent, each course complimented the last. The service here was efficient and polite. Overall, an excellent Sunday lunch at Chapter One in Farnborough, Bromley, Kent.

We were recommended to go to The Old Jail in Biggin Hill, Westerham for a Sunday lunch review by the same person who recommended Bo Peep. It was an old country inn, and was a very cosy place to have Sunday lunch.
My roast beef was good, seasoned well. Claire chose roast chicken, which was equally nice. The star of the show was the roast potatoes though, crunchy and browned on the outside with a great texture inside. The service here was quite good, we were looked after. The Sunday lunch was very reasonably priced, being £8.95 each.
Overall a great Sunday roast in Biggin Hill, Westerham.
