With another visit to Whitstable, we booked The Oxford. I reserved a table for 3 the following Sunday and we were all set. The food was a mixed bag – my beef was delicious with a lot of seasoning but unfortunately the fat on the pork belly wasn’t melted. The sticky toffee pudding was nice, and JW enjoyed (his rather expensive) child’s roast. Overall, worth visiting if you are in the area although as no changing area it isn’t really suitable for toddlers or babies.

The Milk House, Sissinghurst
We were recommended The Milk House in Sissinghurst, and looking at the reviews it seemed to be a good choice for a Sunday lunch. The place was definitely good for families, with a large garden and lots of boxes with toys. when it came to the Sunday lunch though, it was very disappointing – serving up bacon for roast pork was not a good move in our books. Overall, a nice venue but 3 out of 5 for the Sunday lunch.

We were visiting my Dad for Father’s Day and decided to try the Sunday lunch at The Rose and Crown in Pluckley, Kent (near Ashford). I am very glad we did! The food was delicious, the beef cooked to my (requested) liking, super roast potatoes and gravy. The outdoor space meant our child could run outside and burn off some energy. A Top Rated Sunday lunch.

We were looking for a Sunday lunch in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. A friend suggested The Black Pig. The pub looked interesting so we thought we’d give it a go. Service was very good here, always on hand in case we needed anything. The starter was good, and the roast beef was excellent, as were the roast potatoes and vegetables. The passionfruit cheesecake was notably well presentated, and tasty too!
Definitely recommend visiting for Sunday lunch at The Black Pig in Royal Tunbridge Wells!

We were looking for a traditional pub Sunday lunch so I booked The Windmill in Sevenoaks Weald. Lots of ales on offer, this would certainly be a good place for beer drinkers. The food was good, as were the portions. Overall, we felt it was great for a small family Sunday lunch and worth visiting if you are in the area.
