We finally completed the set (of Elite Pubs Group venues). The Poacher and Partridge in Tudeley, near Tonbridge, was excellent. We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch, the service was very friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and JW was kept entertained with the kids pack. A Top Rated venue!

With an impromptu visit to Hastings decided, I found Lathams Brasserie on George Street. It was in an old bistro style, with jazz music over the speakers. A great venue for families, providing a high quality Sunday lunch at reasonable prices. The roast beef was cooked perfectly, as were the roast potatoes. Definitely one to visit if you are going to Hastings!

We visited the Cow and Pig in Bromley one Sunday lunch time as an impromptu review – and I am very glad we did! The food was good as was the service. I especially enjoyed the roast beef and the (extra) cauliflower cheese. A good venue to take children along as well – great for family celebrations or an intimate dinner for two.

Having visited a sister venue in Tunbridge Wells, we were looking forward to a relaxing Sunday lunch at Hotel du Vin in Brighton, East Sussex. It didn’t quite turn out that way due to the very wet weather, but we really enjoyed the lunch – completely stuffed after the great value 4 courses.
