The Kentish Hare is situated in a pretty village called Bidborough near Royal Tunbridge Wells. We booked a table for 3, including our toddler. The chicken parfait starter was nice, the Sunday roasts were exceptional, including cauliflower cheese! Our desserts were equally delicious. Overall, a superb venue and somewhere worth travelling to!

e had been recommended the Sunday lunch at The George and Dragon in Chipstead by a number of people so I was excited when I managed to get a table one Sunday. The village of Chipstead was beautiful, and the venue certainly fitted in. The food was superb, fresh and very tasty. A large garden out back and a children’s play area makes it especially suitable to families.
Overall, a top rated Sunday lunch at The George and Dragon in Chipstead.

I didn’t know what to expect with the Sunday lunch at The Barn restaurant in Gillingham. The service was very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. The food quality and presentation was worthy of “up town”, the pea and ham soup was delicious and the roast was superb! A Top Rated Sunday lunch, and great for a romantic meal or celebrations.

I had heard good things about The Bull Hotel in Gerrards Cross. I booked that morning for the three of us to have a Sunday lunch carvery. The roast itself was very good, especially the roast potatoes and crackling. What really stood out though was their attitude to families – so very welcoming. An excellent Sunday lunch for families with young children.

We were looking forward to spending Mother’s Day lunch at The Grasshopper Inn, Westerham. A lot of parking spaces available meant it was easy to park. The carvery was good, especially the roast potatoes and 4 choices of meat. Unfortunately the soup wasn’t very nice, it was cold and the croutons were soft. Dessert was enjoyable. The service was the main thing that let this experience down, from the time it took to receive confirmation of the booking through to the half our wait for my espresso. It would still be worth visiting The Grasshopper Inn for a carvery, but i wouldn’t suggest it on peak period days (such as Mother’s Day).
