We were visiting my Dad for Father’s Day and decided to try the Sunday lunch at The Rose and Crown in Pluckley, Kent (near Ashford). I am very glad we did! The food was delicious, the beef cooked to my (requested) liking, super roast potatoes and gravy. The outdoor space meant our child could run outside and burn off some energy. A Top Rated Sunday lunch.

Looking for a Sunday lunch in Surrey, I found Sands at Bleak House in Woking. The venue was bright and airy, with large windows and also a conservatory area. The service here was very good, making sure we had everything we needed. Both the Roast Pork and the Roast Beef were ordered and we were all pleased with our choices. The roast potatoes were especially large and had an interesting flavour. Lastly, the desserts were nicely presented and were enjoyable. Families are welcome. We were looking for a traditional pub Sunday lunch so I booked The Windmill in Sevenoaks Weald. Lots of ales on offer, this would certainly be a good place for beer drinkers. The food was good, as were the portions. Overall, we felt it was great for a small family Sunday lunch and worth visiting if you are in the area.

We finally completed the set (of Elite Pubs Group venues). The Poacher and Partridge in Tudeley, near Tonbridge, was excellent. We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch, the service was very friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and JW was kept entertained with the kids pack. A Top Rated venue!

The Gun at Gun Hill is one of the Elite Pubs venues – we have visited most of the others, so I was looking forward to giving them a go, and we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent, especially the crackling. They were very welcoming with our toddler and had some good menu options. We made full use of the garden too. A Top Rated venue, great for families as well as couples and celebrations
