We have been meaning to review Sunday lunch at The Swan in West Malling for a while now and we finally had a chance just before Christmas. Parking was difficult, they do not have their own car park, but we managed it. The food was excellent, the service superb and we really enjoyed our time. A Top Rated Award for The Swan in West Malling.

We had visited The Shortlands Taverns to watch some rugby previously, when I saw they offered Sunday lunches I made sure we visited the following Sunday. Make sure you reserve a table, there were a lot of disappointed people would hadn’t. A very good place for families, with a menu for children, low salt Sunday lunches and clean baby changing facilities. Also, they are members of Brestfeeding Welcome Scheme, so mothers with young babies should also feel welcome here. Overall, the Sunday lunch was nice and worth a visit, if just to experience the local community pub.

We were visiting St Margaret’s Bay in Dover for a family event and decided to stay over for the weekend. I never miss an opportunity to review a new venue, so with this in mind I found The White Cliffs in St Margaret’s at Cliff. Booking was easy, and we arrived to be shown to our seats in a light, airy room. The Sunday lunch here was excellent, with a special mention to the cauliflower cheese. Our roast beef was cooked well, and the rest of the vegetables were enjoyable. My chocolate brownie dessert was the star though, with a wonderful marzipan ice cream.
Top Marks for Sunday lunch at The White Cliffs in Dover, Kent!

Bluewater doesn’t strike many people as the place to go for a Sunday lunch, but with the various shops and then great restaurants, it is actually quite logical. I found out that Browns do offer a Sunday lunch, so gave them a call.
Overall, it was a good solid Sunday roast, with various different vegetables (including cauliflower cheese). My lamb wasn’t the best value, and the potatoes were not very good. Claire really enjoyed her’s though, so have a read about it here.

I had been recommended the Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells for Sunday lunch, so I booked up when we were at a loose end. The venue was smart, with great service. On the most part, the meal was good value – £24.95 for a 3 course Sunday lunch and £9.95 for a child’s meal. The market table was immense, so much choice and definitely meant hungrier guests could get their moneys worth! The lunch was delicious, as was dessert. Overall, a Top Rated Sunday lunch for Hotel du Vin.
