This site has been set up by John and Claire, a couple now living in Kent (but used to be based in West London), who like nothing better than visiting a pub on a Sunday afternoon for a lovely Sunday roast.
Sometimes on our adventures we have found an amazing meal but other times have been a huge disappointment, and so we felt it would be really useful if there was an honest review site we could use to find the ‘nicer’ meals.
After a number of years of thinking it would be a great idea to set up our own website, we finally came up with Best Sunday Roast!! Plus, it would give us a really good excuse to eat out every Sunday in the name of research, instead of cooking and doing the washing up at home.
Early on with the site, we decided to focus on the positives, while not glossing over the bad points. We appreciate that a lot of work can go into a Sunday lunch and we do not want to be critics. Equally, we have felt the disappointment of receiving an unsatisfactory experience overall. So, within our scoring system, we take into account all aspects of the venue, from service, through to quality of food, value for money and overall experience.
