Katie I can honestly say that I have tried almost every pub restaurants in Bromley Chislehurst orpington trust me I’m the most critical fussed person hard to please so my family and friends say you could be around when it comes to going out for a meal.hand on heart this is the Best tasty Sunday lunch I’ve had the owners and staff really made you feel so welcomed perfect for my husband and myself. I’ve recommend to all my friends and family and they totally agree they all say if it’s perfect for julie then it’s got to be good and they totally agree with me I really can’t believe you said those harsh words about this lovely little pubs Sunday roast.

Hi Katie,

That sounds revolting! Personally, I do not go anywhere for a Sunday lunch after about 2:30pm (too many bad experiences – either running out completely, or the quality degrading so much)… But, if the quality drops then they shouldn’t serve it!!! Good to hear that the other food was good, so we may also have to visit another time too :-)

To cancel out this experience, I recommend the Bull’s Head Hotel for a good Sunday lunch, but sit in The Grill, not the bar.

A word of warning I would give for having Sunday Roast at the Imperial is to definitely go for lunch. We booked a table last Sunday at 5.30pm and had to pay £11.95 for two tiny slices of meat, rock hard potatoes, burnt yorkshires and a mere dribble of thick, lumpy, tasteless gravy. One companion had the burger which he said tasted very good so we may go back for their main menu but the roast is stupidly overpriced for what you get, and by John’s review the size doesn’t change depending on the time of day. I’ve never been to a Toby Carvery in my life but would now choose that over the Imperial!
