Having visited some of the other pubs in the Elite Group (including The Vineyard, a great Sunday lunch), I thought it was only right to book The Great House in Hawkhurst - and I was glad I did! The food was delicious, the service excellent and a great venue too. Definitely one worth travelling to visit - suitable for families and couples alike!

We finally completed the set (of Elite Pubs Group venues). The Poacher and Partridge in Tudeley, near Tonbridge, was excellent. We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch, the service was very friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and JW was kept entertained with the kids pack. A Top Rated venue!

The Gun at Gun Hill is one of the Elite Pubs venues - we have visited most of the others, so I was looking forward to giving them a go, and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, especially the crackling. They were very welcoming with our toddler and had some good menu options. We made full use of the garden too. A Top Rated venue, great for families as well as couples and celebrations

We had visited The Farmhouse in West Malling and received a great experience, so I had to take the opportunity to review their sister pub in Lamberhurst, The Vineyard. The location was superb, set in wonderful Kentish countryside. The garden was spacious, as was the venue inside. Our Sunday lunch was really nice, with a lot of meat, good flavouring with the roast potatoes and nice vegetables. Our desserts were enjoyable, the Coconut Crème Brulée was very well presented. Service here was excellent, and ensured we had a great experience. An excellent Sunday roast at The Vineyard in Lamberhurst, Kent.

After looking for a Sunday lunch near Maidstone, I settled on The Dirty Habit in Hollingborne, a sister pub of The Vineyard and The Farmhouse. The 11 Century pub certainly had character, and I was pleased with the service initially, The roast potatoes were good, as were the vegetables. My Sticky Toffee Pudding was very sweet (a good thing), and certainly ensured I received the sugar hit I wanted. Unfortunately though, it took over 20 minutes just to receive the bill, so not one to go to if you are in a rush.

Having visited all the venues within the Elite Pub Group, when I heard there was a new one open (called The Potting Shed), I knew it wouldn't take long before we visited :-) I booked a table for the 3 of us on New Years Day. The venue was excellent, very airy with lots of large windows to let in the light, even on the dull, rainy day. The service was superb, I almost felt we were imposing on the staff - the waiter even cut up JW's beef without being asked (we would have done it). Nothing seemed too much trouble. The food quality was excellent, I loved the mixed roast, and the creme brulee was good (although, couldn't see any vanilla seeds). A Top Rated Sunday lunch!

We were looking to have sunday lunch with my aunt, uncle and their children in West Malling. The Farmhouse is quite a well known pub in the area, winning a number of awards with the likes of Top Table. It was a toss up between this pub or The Swan. We decided to have our Sunday roast at The Farmhouse - it was slightly cheaper (and we had not eaten there before).

The restaurant area felt almost like a country inn, with lots of wood and dark browns. The service was good, the food was excellent and we were very pleased we chose to have our Sunday lunch here. A recommended roast and a must visit. This pub would be suitable for celebrations, father's day, mother's day, a romantic lunch or just meeting up with friends and family...
