Claire and I were invited along to the launch party of The Jugged Hare, so we knew the layout of the venue and what to expect decor-wise. We also had the chance to sample the food via canapes. Something we didn't get to try, and I really wanted to, was their Sunday lunches. So, a couple of weeks after the launch party, I arranged Sunday lunch at The Jugged Hare for my birthday meal. Excellent decor, with a quirky feel such as a deer's head mounted on the wall and chandeliers. The roast beef and lamb were excellent, but there was disappointment with the roast chicken. The apple crumble was excellent.
