I have just found this site, and read the old review on The Royal Oak, Brookland, Romney Marsh.
I have been using this Pub since the NEW owners have taken over, From June 2013.. Please be assured the food is absolutely Amazing, The Chef is highly skilled and qualified to Michelin star standards.. The food and wines are the best I have had the pleasure to experience in kent for a long time.. Please revisit and rewrite your review.. I assure you will not be disappointed. Checkout their reviews on Trip advisor.. from their takeover..

Hi Matt,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Such a shame you didn't have a good experience at The George, we've always had a nice meal there. I can assure you the photos were taken incognito, perhaps the kitchen were having an off day?

No we excuse though and you are completely right - service and food quality shouldn't be compromised, especially when spending so much.

Have you found somewhere in the area you do like?
