I was looking for a Sunday lunch close to home and found The Bull Hotel, Wrotham in Sevenoaks, Kent – it was highly rated by a number of places, which meant we just had to give it a go. The venue was great – a country pub in a beautiful village. The service was so good, they were very welcoming towards us and our baby, John William. The food presentation was excellent, as was the quality and taste. Overall, a superb Sunday lunch at The Bull Hotel and well worth travelling to visit.

Baring Hall Hotel, Grove Park
This certainly was a wildcard – a rundown hotel, probably damaged by fire. It seemed like they were going through renovations, but taking their time with it! We visited The Moody Mare in Mereworth near West Malling, Kent. Really good that they were able to serve a mixed roast – it came with beef, pork and chicken. Having reviewed their sister venue, it would have been rude not to visit Chapters in Blackheath, Greenwich, and I am very glad we did! Whilst not as formal as Chapter One, it was still a very smart and professional venue, providing an excellent Sunday lunch – the roast beef was delicious, as were the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Definitely worth travelling to visit – a Top Rated award!
